Job Description

Our client was one of the pioneers of Radiotherapy SGRT and continues to grow strongly around the world. The organisation combines precise engineering standards with a strong and growing presence in the US, offering engineers the opportunity to work with safety-critical technology that directly improves outcomes for Cancer patients.

Role Purpose & Key Responsibilities

This position plays a key role in ensuring complex clinical oncology systems are installed, maintained, and supported to the highest technical standards across customer sites. Acting as an autonomous field engineer, you will be responsible for bringing new systems live, resolving technical issues, and maintaining long-term system performance for hospitals in your region.

The role combines autonomous hands-on installation work, on-site and remote technical troubleshooting, and planned preventive maintenance. Engineers operate with a high degree of independence while remaining closely connected to a small, collaborative national service team.

Please note the role is REMOTE (no office), must be based in the Seattle area, and requires significant travel.

Requirements:

  • Experience in a field-based technical role such as field service engineering, systems support, technical installation, or similar.
  • Strong analytical troubleshooting skills across IT/networked systems, hardware and software
  • Practical, hands-on experience installing, configuring, and supporting technical equipment in customer environments.
  • Solid IT literacy (e.g. computers, servers, networking fundamentals, system configuration)
  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with customers, including in high-pressure situations.
  • Strong personal drive, team player and problem – solver.
  • Comfort working independently on customer sites and taking ownership of issues through to resolution.
  • Physically able to perform installation activities (working at height, handling equipment, calibration tasks).
  • Willingness to travel frequently within the region and US, including multi-day on-site assignments ( travel up to 75%).
  • Valid driver’s license and eligibility to travel as required.

Why join our client:

  • Work on safety-critical clinical technology that directly supports patient treatment and safety.
  • High autonomy role : manage your own schedule, travel, and customer sites with real ownership end-to-end.
  • Join a small, highly collaborative US engineering team with daily peer support and zero internal competition.
  • Excellent company culture and package - competitive salary, 401k, healthcare, and extra days off.
